What is the Yoga Mala? A yoga event for all the family where we celebrate life and practice 108 Sun Salutations, kids have their own yoga party, and we raise money for charity.
108? I can only do 8 before I need a rest in savasana! No problem, whether you do 8 or 108 we will complete the mala together. The last two Malas have seen over 100 women, men and children coming together to make one sunny circle ![]()
Where is it and when? On the mezzanine in Autoworld Museum, Park Cinquantenaire, and we start at 10h30 on Sunday 17 June
How do I register and how much is it? To register please send an email to brusselsyogamala@gmail.com, and make a transfer of €2 entrance fee plus a donation for our charity (we suggest €10 put please give what you can) into the bank account: BE85 0357 3874 8506 (in the name Susie Jones)
This is a great idea, how can I help? If you’d like to volunteer to help in some way please let us know

About 100 people welcomed the Summer Solstice and offered our gratitude to life by saluting and honouring the Sun. We practiced a Yoga Mala, a prayer in motion of 108 rounds of Suurya Namaskaara (Sun Salutation).
- 12 teachers from different Yogic traditions led us through the rounds with plenty of time to relax and breathe deep
- Most of us did just that, and each completed their own number of rounds – although one person did do 108 rounds! The importance lies in our participation and intention – as a collective we did complete the Mala.
- Being there together in a spirit of loving-kindness, peace and joy is what it’s all about.
- The event was family-friendly and children, partners and grandparents were warmly welcome. There was Yoga for kids and other fun activities.
Loads of juice, yogi tea & biscuits were generously provided by VAJRA! www.vajra.be
Thanks to all the Brussels yogis who came and made it happen!
